For starters, here are key items for a home beverage setup:ย

French Press Coffee Brewer
Guests want to be caffeinated, especially for brunch. Brunch is a coffee by the gallon event, which means you need to have excellent quality coffee. I love the French Press because it delivers strong flavor and is easy for a small group of guests to serve themselves their desired coffee quantity, while simultaneously giving you a chance to relax and enjoy your party. This exclusive 34-oz Double Wall Glass French Press is aesthetically pleasing enough to earn a spot on the table, no outlet needed.ย
Shop: Bodum Verona Clear Double Wall French Press with Brass Knob
This version by French press coffee maker Bodum is exclusive to Crate & Barrel and itโs my particular favorite because of the gold accents and fine ribbed glass, available in both clear and smoke grey, and itโs clear to see when you need to replenish. The French Press is ideal for home brewing; for our catered events, we make large quantities of drip coffee or cold brew, as one pot of French Press is enough for ~4 cups of coffee, depending on the quantity of milk added to the coffee.
My go-to French Press recipe:
โจ 60g coarsely ground coffee beans
โจ Pour in hot water (between 195-205ยฐF)
โจ Set a timer & steep for 4 minutes
โจ Stir gently, press the plunger down, done
From there, youโre ready to enjoy!
Letโs talk about Fellow mugsโฆ
Coffee goes best in an aesthetic mug thatโs also comfortable to hold, which is why I am obsessed with the new Pirch Mugs from Fellow, another high-quality California brand. The top reasons why we love them:
- Dishwasher safe (a must, especially when multiple people are coming over)
- Thin lip that allows for clean, flavor-forward sips
- Made of unique green-tinted glassย
- Perfect size for both milk-based drinks and black coffee
- Can be used for either hot or iced coffee (or tea, or matcha)
- The perfect satisfying weight in your handย
Their Woodland Green color matches both the champagne bottles and green stripe linen table runner, works for every season, and honestly just makes coffee taste better. Their 11 oz mugs are ideal for lattes or French Press coffee, and the 3 oz mugs are ideal for shots of espresso. They come in sets of 2 cups so you can share the experience of refined coffee enjoyment.ย

Tips for your Champagne Bucket Display
For your champagne setup, if youโre going glass for your champagne bucket, you want it thick and with that diamond-cut texture. It gives elevated cut-crystal energy.

Pre-chill the bottles of champagne overnight so that you arenโt fully relying on your ice in the bucket to keep them cool, as chilled is the optimal temperature for champagne. Champagne is one of my go to indulgences; as soon as you pop the cork it says itโs time to celebrate. The bubbles are dancing and sparkling in your palate, and it does the same to your brain. I recommend including both chilled bottles of champagne and sparkling apple cider for any alcohol-free guests to enjoy in the bubbly fun.

A functional and aesthetic addition, cute dish towels underneath your champagne bucket are a game changer; they catch condensation, especially important when on a wood surface, while adding to your tablescape theme. Iโve run out of room in my cabinets for souvenir coffee mugs when I travel and have since opted to instead pick up fun dish towels on different adventures or to represent different trips, and the lemons reminded me of fond trips to Greece and the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Upgraded Juices & Garnishes for Your Mimosa Bar ๐๐๐ฅ
Everyone enjoys a different ratio of champagne to juice in their mimosas, so having a self serve setup is great for brunch gatherings. Here are two tips to take your mimosa bar to the next level:
Mix Up Your Mixers: Mimosas are a straightforward crowd-pleasing brunch cocktail. Now hereโs where it gets funโฆ To incorporate a little moment of surprise and delight, I incorporate different unexpected juices in a variety of colors, giving people a chance to try something new. I ditch the basic OJ and give mimosas a little personality moment and use my three unique twists: freshly squeezed tangerine juice, strawberry juice, and kiwi juice. Same mimosa, just more interesting. To juice tangerines by hand, I recommend a citrus squeezer pump with a built-in strainer and measuring cup. For the kiwi specifically, we peeled the fresh kiwis and blended them with water rather than putting them in the juicer until we found the right consistency. One of my favorite parts of hosting is you can try new things and get feedback from your family and friends, helping you find and perfect new recipes.ย

Garnish Your Coup: Right before guests arrive, garnish your coup glasses with fresh fruit that align with your juices for your mimosa bar. I use Champagne Coupe Glasses because the wide rim provides more real estate for grand garnishes. Pre-washed fresh fruits that are colorful and easy to eat make for crowd-pleasing garnishes; a small sliver in the middle holds it on the rim, allowing your guests to also enjoy the garnish as both a photogenic addition and a healthy little sweet treat. I also like to have freshly washed fruit, such as strawberries, out in a Berry Box Porcelain Colander on my mimosa bar to assist with the display and provide extras for guests who canโt help but enjoy their garnish immediately.
